The school day
Nursery
Morning session 8.50 – 11.50am
Afternoon session 12.15 – 3.15pm
Reception to Y6
8.55am – 3.15pm
Doors are open from 8.40am and children can come into school from this time. A member of staff will be on door duty to take messages etc.
School access
The entrance to the school is at the end of Tower Street although the school postal address continues to be Musgrave Street.
Nursery and Reception
Children enter via the gate at the end of Tower Street (by the small barrier) and come into school through the EYFS entrance.
Year 1 to Year 6
Children use the entrance off the school playground. Children will be brought out onto the yard at 3.15pm for collection by parents.
Car Parking
FOR CHILDREN’S SAFETY please do not use the school car park when dropping off or collecting children.
Car parking can be a problem. The waiting limit on the school side of Tower Street is for one hour and is strictly enforced. There is no right to park at the Whitby Street entrance or the other side of Tower Street. The council allows 10 minutes for drop off/pick up at the beginning and end of the school day.
School opening the doors at 8.40am should help to alleviate some of the parking issues.
If at the end of the school day you need to speak to the office, please use the Children's gate on Tower Street.
