At. St. Joseph's we recognise that all children are individuals with unique gifts and talents. Our award system recognises this.

Star of the Week

Is awarded by each class teacher to a member of their class. This award can be for someone who has shown for example: great resilience, determination, attitude to learning, friendship, kindness.

PE Stars of the Week

Awarded for effort, participation, improvement as well as team skills.

Half Termly Awards 

Catholic Life Award  is awarded to someone who through their actions have lived out the school mission

Reader Award is awarded to someone who has shown determination, improvement or enthusiasm for reading.

Writer Award is awarded to someone who has shown determination, improvement or enthusiasm for writing.

Mathematician Award is awarded to someone who has shown determination, improvement or enthusiasm for maths.

Termly Awards

Rainbow Awards  given to a child from each class who the teacher feels has shown outstanding effort in either work or in their attitude to school life during that term.

Governor Awards

Y6 pupils at the end of the summer term receive awards for -

Outstanding Contribution to the school -Student involvement in the wider life of the school.

Overall Accomplishment  - Awarded for excellent effort and progress made in Y6

Outstanding Academic Achievement - A child who has striven to reach their potential and achieved in all subjects.
