Creativity was on full display in Year 5/6 as pupils took part in an exciting art lesson focused on portraiture, shading and tone.
The children were challenged to create impressive split-face portraits of famous people, carefully using different shading techniques to add depth, detail and realism to their work. They demonstrated excellent artistic skills, showing a strong understanding of how light and shadow can bring a portrait to life.
To make their artwork even more unique, pupils also designed abstract patterned backgrounds, adding colour, creativity and personality to their pieces. The combination of realistic portrait work and imaginative designs resulted in some truly eye-catching creations.
We are incredibly proud of the effort, focus and creativity shown by every child during the lesson. Their finished artwork looks fantastic and is a wonderful example of the talent we have at St Joseph's.
