This week, our wonderful Year 3/4 pupils took part in a community litter‑picking activity, demonstrating fantastic teamwork, responsibility, and genuine care for their local environment. Armed with litter pickers, gloves, and plenty of enthusiasm, the children worked together to help make the area around St. Joseph’s cleaner, safer, and more welcoming.
Their hard work certainly paid off — the group managed to collect almost three full bags of litter, a brilliant achievement that shows just how much impact young people can have when they come together for a shared purpose. The children were incredibly proud of what they had accomplished, and rightly so!

At St. Joseph’s, we are committed to teaching our pupils the importance of community spirit, environmental stewardship, and taking pride in where we live. Activities like this not only help our surroundings but also empower our children to become thoughtful, active citizens.
A huge well done to our Year 3/4 eco‑heroes — you’ve made St. Joseph’s proud!
