Learning to Stay Safe at the Beach
Year 5 and Year 6 pupils from St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Hartlepool recently enjoyed a valuable educational visit to Seaton Carew beach as part of the Swim Safe programme.
The session provided children with important knowledge and practical guidance about staying safe in and around the sea.
Developing Lifesaving Awareness
During the visit, pupils learned how to recognise potential dangers in open water and what actions to take if they find themselves or others in difficulty.
The children were also taught what to do in an emergency and gained a better understanding of how to stay safe while enjoying time at the beach.
Building Confidence Around Water
The Swim Safe experience helped pupils develop confidence and awareness while reinforcing essential water safety messages.
It was an enjoyable and informative day that provided valuable skills and knowledge which could help keep them safe in the future.
